Returns numeric value one unit to another.
The Excel CONVERT function gives a number after changing one measurement to others. For Example, use =CONVERT(40,”C”, “F”) returns 104. i.e. it changes Celsius to Fahrenheit.
Number – the value which you want to convert.
Form_unit– the unit which the value contains.
To_unit- the unit whom you want result.
Value after changing unit.
- If the unit is not valid or case sensitive, it will return an error (#N/A!) in the cell. Like in cell F5 and F7.
- In case of user wish to change time in decimal (6:30:00) form apply the formula in cell F8 =CONVERT(6:30:00, “day”, “hr”) gives “6.5”. same you can convert time to the minute.
- If the value is not given to the change unit, it will return an error (#VALUE!) in the cell.
- The convert function also used to change the decimal number into one unit to another.
