Rational

Change all letters in a text to lowercase.

Description

The Excel LOWER function converts all letters in the text to small ltters. For example, “LOWer” returns “lower”.

Syntax

=LOWER (text)

Parameters

text – The text to convert lowercase.

Return Value

Same text in lower case.

Key Notes

  • The LOWER Function converts a string’s characters to lowercase, and to convert a text uppercase use the Excel UPPER function.
  • The LOWER function accepts the text entered manually.
  • Non-Alphabetical characters are not affected.
